At an altitude of 168 meters above sea level, the Lighthouse of Cabo Espichel.

 

Cabo Espichel Santuary (Sesimbra)

The Sanctuary of Espichel Cape is located at the westernmost point of the coast of Sesimbra.

 

Ermida da Memória (Sesimbra)

An harmonious hermitage, built in a place where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared in 1410.

 

Pedra da Mua and Lagosteiro dinosaur footprint (Sesimbra)

The deposit consists of tracks of footprints of bipedal dinosaurs, with about 130 million years ago.

 

Sesimbra Castle (Sesimbra)

Classified as a National Monument on June 16, 1910, the Castle of Sesimbra is the last of the Castles on the sea.

 

Sampaio Milling (Sesimbra)

A milestone in the industrial and technological development of the municipality. A white rectangular building with reddish doors, it was initially used as stable and later adapted for milling grain which arrived from all over the region.

 

Fortress of Santiago (Sesimbra)

Located in the parish of Santiago in the coastal town and municipality of Sesimbra, built between 1642 and 1648 on the site of an earlier 16th-century Manueline fort.

 

Chapel of Espírito Santo dos Mareantes (Sesimbra)

Founded by a confraternity of local seafarers and fishermen sometime during the late 14th-15th centuries, the religious sanctuary also included a hospital and meeting space underneath.

 

Convent of Jesus / Museum of Setúbal (Setúbal)

True landmarks in Portuguese architectural history, marking the beginning of the Manueline style.

 

São Filipe Fortress (Setúbal)

The Saint Philip's Fort was once an important defensive bastion and control of the city. Composed of an irregular polygonal plan, in a six-pointed star with six bulwarks, and in a steep slope over the sea, being protected by the side North by a second walled line.

 

Casa da Baía (Setúbal)

Tourism Main Office, CIRES (Sado Estuary Bottlenose Interpretive Center), Shop and Coffee Shop.

 

Mercado do Livramento (Setúbal)

The Livramento Market was considered, in 2015, by the American newspaper, USA Today, one of the best fish markets of the world.

 

Lapa de Santa Margarida (Setúbal)

A natural grout at the base of Arrábida Mountain where a small altar was erected. The access is done by a narrow path, with over 200 steps, until the sea level.

 

Portinho da Arrábida Viewpoint (Setúbal)

Located in Serra da Arrábida, it offers one of the most impressive views in the region. The viewpoint is particularly famous for the opportunity to capture a creative photo, giving the illusion of 'falling' onto the wooden platform. This is a must-see spot.

 

Palmela Castle (Palmela, Setúbal)

Located on one of the highest points in the Serra da Arrábida. Erected at a uniquely strategic point, between the Tagus and Sado rivers, the castle is recognized as a national monument, features four towers, the Igreja de Santiago, a museum, and the castle itself.
